The bell in the sidebar collects everything that concerns you right now. One click opens Notifications. Each entry has one sentence and one button that takes you where you need to go.
What the bell shows
- Updates: Actana downloads new versions on its own. Once an update is ready, click Restart now. If Download automatically is off under Settings → App → Updates, you see Install & restart instead.
- What’s new: after an update you see “What’s new in” with the new version. View shows what changed.
- Sold twice: a card sold on two marketplaces. Cancel the order on the marketplace named there and click Done.
- Sales held back: Review opens the Were these sales? window. More under “Managed Sync”.
- Orders: a withdrawn order in the pick list. Go to orders takes you there.
- Marketplaces: for example “eBay needs you (2)” or “Shopify: reconnect”. View or Reconnect opens the marketplace’s card under Sales → Marketplaces.
- Handovers: every batch that is being listed, with its status, and every listing From inventory. Depending on the status, click Show, Review or Finish batch.
- Send diagnostic data?: only if you have never answered. Choose Yes, send or No, thanks.
- Announcements from Actana.
The number on the bell
The number counts entries waiting for you and notices you haven’t seen yet. Notices that need no action only count until you have opened the bell once. While a handover runs, a small progress ring turns on the bell.
Most entries disappear on their own once the matter is settled. Cards sold twice, “What’s new” and announcements you put away with Done. When nothing is open, it says No new notifications.
The bar at the top of the window
Two cases cost money. They also show as a bar at the top of the window:
- Sold twice with Done
- Sales held back with Review
Only one bar shows at a time. A card sold twice comes first. You then find the held-back sales in the bell, and after Done they move into the bar.
