Short answers to questions that often come up when selling.
The card is already on eBay. What now?
eBay allows only one listing per card and condition. If the card is already on eBay without Actana, for example from a CSV file, Actana tells you while listing. With Switch to Managed Sync, the old listing is ended and listed again right away through Actana. It gets a new item number, and watchers are lost. With Don’t switch, the cards go into your inventory without a listing, and sales through the old listing are not removed.
I listed many cards with the eBay CSV. How do they join Managed Sync?
When you connect eBay, Actana reads your listings there and recognizes which ones come from your Actana CSV files. Setup then asks once: Switch to Managed Sync or Leave as is. Switching ends the listings and lists them again right away through Actana, with new item numbers. Watchers are lost. From then on, Actana removes every sale there. Later you can do this in your inventory with the Via CSV on eBay filter. Listings that didn’t come from Actana stay as they are.
The card is in my inventory but not on the marketplace. Why?
Only what you list goes online: when you finish a batch with a marketplace or with List in your inventory. Older scans, imports and batches that only go to inventory stay offline. The Not online filter under Channels shows these cards. Mark them and click List.
I want to change my setup choice.
Open Settings → Marketplaces and click Open setup again at the bottom. You see your current choice there and can change it.
I changed condition or language. Do I need to relist?
Yes. Change condition or language under Edit card and click Save and relist. In the listing window, the marketplaces where the old listing goes to 0 with Managed Sync are preselected. Confirm with List now.
Why is finishing blocked?
You then see Completion blocked with the reason next to it, for example open cards or cards without a TCGplayer match. If it says A selected channel is not ready yet., the marketplace’s row briefly shows what’s missing, such as Seller profile missing, Prices missing or Condition not supported. Show cards finds the cards affected. Graded cards need a fixed price. If the same card is in the stack with different fixed prices, click Match prices.
A card sold twice. What do I do?
A red bar appears at the top: the card sold on two marketplaces, but no copy was left. Cancel the order on the marketplace named there, then click Done.
The top of the app says “Sales held back”. What do I do?
A marketplace reported lower quantities for several cards without any orders. Click Review. In the Were these sales? window you choose per card or for all of them:
- Sold: Actana removes the card and lowers it on your other marketplaces.
- Not a sale: Actana removes nothing and sets the quantity on the marketplace back to your stock.
Why don’t I see ManaPool?
ManaPool only appears with the sales region United States and only takes Magic cards with a TCGplayer match. You change the region under Settings → Marketplaces while no batch is open. Direct marketplaces start with Plus. With Plus, ManaPool has to be your chosen marketplace.
Does the app need to be open?
Not for Direct Listing and Managed Sync: listing and removing sales keep running on the server. The app only finishes the batch on its own while Scan & sell is open. Otherwise, click Finish batch in the bar.
