A batch is a stack of cards that you scan, review and finish in one step.
Scan
- Start a batch in Scan & sell, as described in “Your first scan”.
- Under Export targets, choose your files and, from Plus, your marketplaces.
Identified cards land in the stack. You can change the export targets until you finish. Marketplaces appear once they are connected.
Review
- Above the stack you see how many cards are waiting for your decision. Click Review.
- Choose the right printing or search the catalog for the card.
After each decision, the next card opens on its own. Use Discard to take out anything that doesn’t belong in the batch.
Finish
- Click Finish batch. If cards are still open, it reads for example Review 2 issues and takes you to them.
- In the List {n} cards window, switch on the marketplaces under Marketplaces where the cards should go online. Choose files with Export as CSV.
- Under Inventory, choose your inventory, a collection or Export only (not added to inventory) at Cards go to.
- Click List now. Without a marketplace and without a file, the button reads Add to inventory.
Files are saved, Direct Listing starts, and with inventory or a collection the cards then appear in your inventory.
Inventory or export only?
- Choose Inventory or a collection if you keep the cards, list them later from your inventory or use Managed Sync. Only then does Managed Sync link the listings to your inventory.
- Choose Export only if you just need a file. The stack is cleared afterwards, the history stays.
New accounts start with Export only. Once you choose Inventory, Actana remembers it for the next batches. If a marketplace with Managed Sync is selected, cards always go into your inventory and Export only is greyed out. That way Actana can remove sales there.
The quantity from the batch goes online. A batch without a marketplace, with just Inventory or a collection, doesn’t go online. You list the cards later from your inventory with List.
If your inventory is full, you can’t select marketplaces with Managed Sync. Finish files with Export only instead. Plus and Pro give you more room.
Good to know
- With a Fixed export folder under Settings → Marketplaces, the save dialogs go away.
- In History you recreate TCG PowerTools and TCGplayer files with Recreate file, using the prices from back then. eBay files can’t be recreated, start a new export for those.
- What happens after finishing with Direct Listing is in the article “Direct Listing”.
