When matching market data is available, TCG Actana can write a price reference to the CSV for TCG PowerTools. This gives you a starting point without looking up every printing before export. It is still a reference, not a guaranteed sale price.
Where the values come from
Actana uses regularly updated market data from Cardmarket in euros and TCGplayer in US dollars. Values depend on the available data for the recorded product and variant. Not every special case has its own separate reference, so check the marketplace itself before making a buying or selling decision.
Euros and dollars stay separate
Actana keeps Cardmarket values in euros and TCGplayer values in US dollars instead of converting them into one combined figure. The market selected in your settings determines which values and currency the app shows.
A card may have data in one market and no matching value in the other. A missing value does not mean the card has no value; it means Actana has no matching reference for that card in the selected market.
Why the exact printing matters
A card name alone is not enough. The same Magic card can appear in several sets and special editions with different values, so Actana keeps the reviewed printing with the copy. How to verify the exact MTG printing before export explains why the physical-card check matters.
When Actana cannot separate similar printings confidently, the result goes to review. Choosing the right edition matters because the wrong edition can also show the wrong value.
Finish, language, and condition
A foil and a non-foil copy of the same printing may have different market references, as can Pokémon reverse holo variants. Actana uses variant-specific data where it is available. If a variant has no matching reference, price stays empty instead of borrowing another variant’s value, so check the chosen marketplace when the exact finish matters.
You set the finish yourself when reviewing the card. Language and condition can affect what someone will pay, but they do not automatically adjust the exported reference; the card condition guide covers recording condition on your copy.

Open the file before importing and check a few cards with different finishes and conditions. An empty price is expected when no suitable reference exists for the exact variant.
What a market value is not
A market value is a reference point, not a promise. The amount a card sells for still depends on its printing, condition, language, finish, demand, timing, and marketplace.
