Recording a card is only the first step. A digital collection becomes useful when you can find the right printing again without scrolling through everything you own.
TCG Actana keeps All Cards as the complete overview. Search, filters, sorting, grouping, and named collections give you smaller views without splitting the inventory into separate files.
Search with the details you already know
The collection search looks across card names, set names and abbreviations, collector numbers, games, and languages. The words do not need to come from one field.
For example, a query such as OP11 067 can combine a set abbreviation with a collector number. OP11 Katakuri can combine the set with part of a name. This is useful when the card is in front of you and those are the details you can read first.
Narrow the view with filters
Use the game list to focus on Magic, Pokémon, One Piece, or Riftbound. You can then filter the current view by condition and language. Active filters remain visible, so it is clear why a card is or is not on screen.
The card count, set count, and value above the collection follow the current result. A filtered total is therefore the value of that view, not a second permanent collection.
Sort and group for the question at hand
There is no single useful order for every collection task. Actana lets you sort by price, name, quantity, or how recently a card was scanned. In the grid view, you can also group the result by set.
Use price when you want to inspect the most valuable cards first, name for a quick alphabetical check, quantity for duplicates, and set grouping when you are working through an expansion.
Create named collections for a purpose
Named collections can represent a binder, deck, trade group, or another part of your setup. Select cards and move them into the collection you want. They still appear under All Cards, so the main inventory remains complete.
A card belongs to one named collection at a time. This is a simple organisational layer, not an automatic rule system. Renaming a named collection changes its label. Deleting it removes that group, while the cards remain under All Cards.
A practical order for a growing collection
- Review each scan batch before adding it.
- Use All Cards as the source of truth.
- Search or filter when you need a temporary view.
- Create named collections only for groups you expect to revisit.
- Check the current selection before exporting or making value decisions.
